4 killed in blast near Pak-Iran border

PANJGUR: At least four people were killed and five others injured near Pak-Iran border on Saturday. According to details, an explosion took place at Paroom area of Panjgur district in Balochistan province, which claimed the lives of four people and wounded five others. The deceased were shepherds who were herding their flock. Rescue teams reached the scene and took the wounded to a nearby medical facility for treatment. Panjgur Deputy Commissioner Abdul Jabbar said the victims were local shepherds and the injured had been shifted to a nearby hospital.

Three suspects held in Peshawar: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Saturday arrested three facilitators of terrorists during an operation. The operation was conducted on an intelligence tip-off regarding the presence of militants in Dalazak Road, Peshawar. During the operation, three facilitators of terrorists were arrested. Two terrorists had been killed in the same area on June 24. The CTD said that two of the suspects were identified as Abdul Hadi and Hakimullah. “They are Afghan nationals. Another, Altaf Hussain, worked in a flour mill,” the CTD said.
