Worst gas load shedding hits Sahiwal, citizens hold protest

SAHIWAL: The residents of different areas of Sahiwal have been worst hit by gas load shedding for last two weeks and a protest demonstration was held against the issue on Sunday.

According to details, various area of Sahiwal including Tariq Bin Ziyad Colony, Bilal Colony, Jahaz Ground, Bhutto Nagri and Nai Abadi were facing worst gas load shedding and low gas pressure especially during the morning and evening for last 15 days.

The residents of the areas were forced to take breakfast and meal from hotels as it was not possible for them to prepare food at home due to gas load shedding and load pressure.

The citizens held protest against the issue demanded of the authorities concerned to mend the situation.

The protesters were of the view that in era of price hike, it was additional burden on them to purchase meal from hotels and despite regularly paying the gas bills; they were deprived of the facility.
