Human rights activist Ahsan Kamray marked International Peace Day with a powerful call to action, demanding justice and human rights for oppressed communities worldwide. Kamray condemned Israel’s brutality and Indian oppression, emphasizing the urgent need for global unity against occupation, oppression, and climate change.

“We cannot celebrate peace while Palestinians endure apartheid, Kashmiris suffer under Indian occupation, and climate change ravages our planet,” Kamray stated, highlighting the struggles of these communities. He demanded immediate withdrawal of occupying forces, accountability for war crimes and human rights abuses, and urgent climate action to protect vulnerable communities.

Kamray’s message resonated with local activists, who vowed to amplify the voices of the oppressed and challenge systemic injustices. He praised frontline human rights defenders, saying, “Their courage and resilience inspire us to continue the fight for justice.”
The United Nations was also called upon to take action, with Kamray emphasizing the need for bold action and unwavering commitment to hold those responsible accountable. “The time for empty rhetoric is over,” he stressed.
