Three of family die in roof collapse

KHYBER AGENCY: A couple and their minor daughter died in a roof collapse accident in Tatara area of Mulagori sub-tehsil of Jamrud, Khyber Agency, early on Monday morning.

Four other children of the couple sustained injuries and were shifted to a health facility in Peshawar for treatment.

The political administration and local sources told Daily Times that on the family was sleeping at their house when its roof caved in, burying them in the debris. Relief work started immediately as residents of the area gathered at the scene of the accident. The deceased man was identified as Imam Hussain.

Residents said heavy downpour on Sunday night could have damaged the roof causing its collapse. Funeral prayers of the dead were offered later on Monday night.
