Dadu hospital not issuing certificates of unfitness to special persons

DADU: Physically and mentally challenged persons have been facing hardship on ground of non-issuance of medical unfitness certificate from Civil Hospital Dadu and social welfare department office.

Special persons including children, women, girls and boys claimed that they got medical certificates after paying Rs 30 per form from agents of social welfare department.

Ghudi Khatoon, disabled with her right arm, a resident of Muhammad Khan village said she had brought her disabled brother with left leg to receive medical certificate from Civil Hospital Dadu doctors but doctors were not ready to check them. According to medical fitness officer, Dr Amjid Hussain Mastoi more than 2,000 disable persons have been reported for medical unfitness at Civil Hospital Dadu. Dr Hussain said disable persons who had come here alos belong to other district of Sindh like Jamshoro, Larkana and Moro.

He said Hospital has no direction from social welfare department and deputy commissioner Dadu about special person medical unfitness certificates matter.
