LARKANA: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) established in 2010 has been facing shortage of staff, required weapons, furniture and fixture and running affairs in the four room Forensic Laboratory Office with facility of one ceiling fan and provisions of two vehicles.

Around 44 policemen taken from district police have no proper anti-terrorism training including one deputy superintendent of police, two sub inspectors, one inspector, two assistants and others. The Department was tasked to look after five districts-Kandhkot, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kambar-Shahdadkot and Larkana. No replacement has been made after the transfer of SSP Abdullah Ahmed about a month ago. SP Irfan Samo, CTD Sukkur was heading the unit on verbal directions. Ten SSPs have so far been transferred since its establishment.
