ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson Nafees Zakariya said on Thursday that India is leveling baseless terrorism allegations against Pakistan when the country itself is victim of Indian state sponsored terrorism.

“Indian accusations of terrorism against Pakistan are an unsuccessful attempt to cover their own terrorist activities, which many of their government officials have confessed in various statements, within Pakistan,” Zakariya said in weekly media briefing at FO.

Talking about Indian aggression in Indian occupied Kashir, Zakariya condemned the neighbouring country’s brutalities against unarmed civilians, adding that India is trying to portray Kashmir freedom movement as a terrorist one, but has failed in their attempts to do so.

Zakariya also condemned recent terrorist attacks in Afghanistan, adding that Pakistan is willing to support its neighbouring country to maintain peace within the region.

He also referred to the growing influence of Islamic State (IS) in Afghanistan saying that IS’s presence in the region is dangerous for Pakistan, adding that strict border control needs to be ensured to eliminate threats.
