ISLAMABAD: Former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said on Friday that no power can overthrow Pakistan’s ex-premier Nawaz Sharif from leadership and from people’s hearts.
Addressing a rally in Rawat, Nisar said that Pakistan has always prospered in Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s guardianship, adding that politics is difficult since there’s a severe lack of respect towards the profession.
The former minister also said that Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan can oust Nawaz from premiership, but never from the hearts of people as his popularity remains undoubted, and said that he will take part in PML-N’s political campaigns throughout the country.
Talking about his recent disapproval of party policies, Nisar said that he will continue to speak the truth, whether someone likes it or not. “Real loyalty is to speak truth rather than grandstanding before the party leadership,” he said.
He also lauded those in attendance for showing their support and loyalty towards him and his party.
