Plan underway for sowing 1.4m saplings in Sindh during monsoon

LARKANA: Plantation drive is underway for as many as 1.4 million saplings to be planted in Sindh during the monsoon season, Chief Conservator of Forests, Aijaz Nizamani has said. Nearly 10 million saplings will be sown in forests and four million will be planted in proximity to Sindh tropical forests. He said in Larkana 250,000 saplings would be planted, 100,000 in Kambar-Shahdadkot and 250,000 plants would be sown in Shikarpur and Jacobabad. And 250,000 saplings on proportionate basis would be planted in each district of Larkana. He also informed that about 500,000 plants would also be sown in forests in and around Larkana to save the environment from pollution.
