Police Martyrs Day observed

UMERKOT: Police martyrs day was observed where speakers paid tribute to police officials who laid down their lives in better cause.

A rally was taken out from Allahwala Chowk and culminated at city police station Umerkot. Scores of children, police personnel, civil society activists, and education officials with key participation of Nadeem-ul-Rehamn Memon, Deputy Commissioner Umerkot, Usman Aijaz Bajwa, SSP, Khalid Siraj Soomro, Chairman Muncipal Committee and Baqa Mohamamd Pali, Vice Chairman District Council Umerkot participated.

Aijaz Usman Bajwa said that each year police officials sacrificed their lives while performing duties to safeguard the nation. Therefore, it is required to recognise their sacrifices on large scale in order to boost up moral of the people and martyred officials families

Nadeem-ul Rehamn said that police has always been on forefront to deal with terrorism and keeping law and order intact all around.

Khalid Siraj Soomro said government should equip police with model equipments’ to safeguard citizens more efficiently.
