LARKANA: A rally from Sukarno Memorial was taken out in memory of martyrs of police and to observe Youm-e-Shuhda Day. Deputy Inspector General of Police, Abdullah Shaikh, five SSPs of Larkana Division and a large number of policemen took part in the rally. Sindh Home Minister Suhail Anwar Siyal also participated in the rally. The family members of slain policemen attended the event. Addressing participants, Siyal said Rangers were performing their own duties and police have their own responsibilities to fulfill obligation of maintaining peace in the province.
He paid rich tributes to martyrs and undertook that their sacrifices would not go in vain. He said their heirs would also being looked after properly. Siyal said that some of the perks, privileges and other benefits of Sindh police were better than in other provinces. DIGP Abdullah Shaikh said that police was performing duties in a better manner now and heirs of deceased policemen were being provided employment.
