Three die in road accidents

KHAIRPUR: Gambat Police said a woman, identified as Haleema Ujjan riding with Imtiaz Ali Ujjan on 2-wheeler lost her life when their bike was hit by a 18 wheeler truck near the National Highway bypass.

Imtaiz Ali Ujjan also sustained injuries. Police shifted the body and injured to GIMS Hospital and nabbed the driver of the vehicle.

Meanwhile a motorcyclist Mukhtar Ali Baladi died when he hit a camel cart near Tahir Bus Stop on Mehran National Highway, police said. Body was shifted to Faiz Ganj Hospital.

Ubaro Police said Imran Chachar aged 23 was shot dead by four armed intruders in village Tagio Chachar in the limits of Ubaro Police Station. The killers managed to escape from the scene.

The body was handed over to his family after a postmortem at taluka hospital Ubaro, police said.

Meanwhile, four unidentified armed men snatched an official rifle from an on duty constable Abdullah Solangi of Thari Mirwah Police Station at police kiosk Bag Panjrah on Mehran National Highway and escaped.

SSP Khairpur Ghulam Azafar has suspended SHO Tharimirwah and constable. Police has started search for arrest.
