LAHORE: A petition was filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday against the likely privatisation of the Quaid-e-Azam Solar Power Project.
Mahmood Akhtar, a citizen, filed the petition.
The petitioner stated that the Punjab government was going to privatise the solar power plant in Bhikki without approval from the Punjab cabinet. He stated that experts had already proposed to the provincial government not to privatise the plant and sell its shares in open market instead.
He requested the court to restrain the government from privatising the power plant.
