LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri said on Tuesday that victims of Model Town massacre shall be served justice, also referring to ousting of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif as a historic decision.

Talking to media upon his arrival at Allama Iqbal International Airport, PAT chief said that Nawaz was regarded a liar by the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan, also demanding the former premier to reveal names of those who planned ‘so called’ propaganda against him.

“Who are you (Nawaz) protesting against (in planned GT-Road rally on Wednesday)? Reveal their names if you have enough courage,” said Qadri. Earlier this week, Nawaz had said that he has been ousted according to a planned propaganda against him, vowing to uncover the conspiracy in future.

Qadri also added that he will announce future course of action at Nasir Bagh later on Tuesday, adding that he had asked to invoke Article 62 of the Constitution to eliminate corruption from the country in a 2012 rally at Minare Pakistan. “Thank God after four years, Article 62 has spoken,” he said.

The PAT chief also paid rich tributes to Model Town martyrs, saying that the culprits will be brought before justice.

Dr Qadri is expected to lead a rally from the airport to Nasir Bagh, where he will address the party workers.
