KARACHI: Three persons were killed and one other injured in different road accidents in the metropolis on Tuesday.
According to rescue sources, a speeding vehicle hit a motorbike in Quaidabad area. As a result, 20-year-old youth, Samiullah, , suffered severe injuries and died on the spot. His body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for a postmortem examination.
In a separate incident a car hit a 65-year-old unknown man while crossing the road near Indus Hospital in Korangi. Resulting him in suffering serious injuries due to which he died on the spot. The body was shifted to JPMC for an autopsy.
Meanwhile, an unknown pedestrian, aged 28, was run over by a speeding vehicle while walking across the road in Orangi town area. He was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
Rescue sources said that a young motorcyclist, Usama, aged 25, was on his motorcycle when a speeding minibus knocked him down in Surjani town. As a result, he suffered multiple injuries. He was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
