Mian Jee’s offer to push up rally numbers, tweeters predict

Lahore: Some tweeters predicted that the number of rally participants was likely to swell because of the announcement by a popular eatery near Gujrat on GT Road that it would offer free food to those rallying with former prime minister’s convoy.

Twitter user Khurram Zia Khan noted that Mian Jee Restaurant, popular for its traditional food, had announced free food for rally participants. Dawn columist Umair Javed? stated that a significant number of those accompanying Nawaz Sharif on his trip to Lahore were in the convoy ‘for the free daal at Mian Jee’s’. Another twitter user Arsal A. Jafri? tweeted, “No wonder why Mian Jee restaurant offered free food for NS rally participants. Inko pata tha k rally mein kum loog honge”.
