BAHAWALPUR: Commissioner Saqib Zafar said that public sector hospitals are providing best healthcare facilities to millions of people and every new day is bringing improvement in the health sector.
He expressed these views while addressing “Sehat Khidmat Awards” distributing ceremony for best performing health professionals of THQ hospitals, RHCs and basic health units. He congratulated the award winner health professionals and said the journey of hardworking and services should be continued. He gave away cash prizes and certificates to the officers, doctors, nurses, paramedical staff on their outstanding performances.
Anti-begging campaign: The Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) on Thursday in an anti-begging campaign, has taken 19 child beggars into custody. Campaign has begun on the directions of Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Cap (R) Saqib Zafar. Different teams of Child Protection Bureau raided various localities in Bahawalpur. Around 19 boys, aged between five to 14 years, were taken into custody as they were begging on the streets. The children have now been shifted to the Child Protection Bureau.
