Hailey Bieber reacts to divorce rumours

As confident as Hailey Bieber might be in her relationship with Justin Bieber, the constant attention on their marriage isn’t easy.

In fact, the Rhode Skin founder-who is pregnant with her and the “Baby” singer’s first child-recently addressed speculation about their status.

“People have made me feel so bad about my relationship since day one,” the 27-year-old told W Magazine in an interview published July 23. “‘Oh, they’re falling apart. They hate each other. They’re getting divorced.’ It’s like people don’t want to believe that we’re happy.”

“I used to try to act like it hurts less and less,” Hailey-who married Justin in September 2018-continued. “I’ve tried to think that you get used to it at a certain point, that this is what’s going to be said and this is how people are going to be. But I realise that it doesn’t actually ever hurt any less.”

The couple’s desire for privacy is one reason they decided to keep her pregnancy out of the spotlight for the first six months. “I probably could have hid it until the end,” Hailey, who shared the news publicly in May, noted. “But I didn’t enjoy the stress of not being able to enjoy my pregnancy outwardly.”

“I felt like I was hiding this big secret and it didn’t feel good,” she added. “I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life.” And she’s been doing just that, sharing pregnancy updates with her fans on social media while also enjoying private moments with Justin.

“I’m trying to soak in these days of it being Justin and me,” she explained, “just the two of us.”
