POF organises event to mark Independence Day

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Ordnance Factory (POF) Administration has arranged various programmes in order to celebrate the Independence Day. The first programme in this regard was organised by the women of Wah Cantonment at POF Guest House, which included a flower exhibition and patriotic song competition.

FG Colleges, Sir Syed Campus, GSO-I, FG School No 6, FG School No 3 and 18 participated in the events.

Mrs Naeem secured the first, Mrs Kirmani the second and Mrs Taqdees the third position in the flower arrangement competition. Mrs Farzana was awarded a special prize. In the patriotic song competition, there were 18 participants. In the individual competition, Nida secured the first, Dushka the second and Tayyaba Idrees the third position. A group consisting of Duskha Zahra, Ayesha Siddiqua, Aneeza Shahzad, Laiba Irfan and Hira Qayyum got the first position.
