Truck runs over two in Khairpur

KHAIRPUR: A speedy truck ran down two riding on a motorcycle identified as Amjad Ali aged 12 and Saddam Hussain aged 11 near Kot Lalo on Mehran National Highway.

Kot Lalo police shifted bodies to Taluka Hospital Faiz Ganj for autopsy and later handed over to heirs. Meanwhile driver managed to escape from the scene. Piryalo police Khairpur after an encounter near Therhi arrested four notorious criminal, two of them with injuries. SSP Khairpur, Ghulam Azafar Mahesar has claimed that criminals identified as Altaf Phulopto, Farooq, Ayaz Phupoto and Munir Phulpoto started firing on seeing police patrol party near a hotel. Three members of them managed to escape from the spot. Police claimed to have recovered weapons from possession of arrested men while injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Khairpur.
