Umerkot celebrates I Day with zeal and zest

UMERKOT: Independence Day was celebrated with national zeal and pledge. National flag hoisting ceremonies were held at government and privates offices besides at schools and colleges in parts of city.

The speakers at the events highlighted spirit and paid tribute to national. Celebration also took place in Samaro, Pthoro and Kunri. Main function was held at Government Boys Degree College under Municipal Committee Umerkot.

School children, teachers, officials, community actors with key participation of Nawab Yousuf Talpur Pakistan Peoples Party member National Assembly Dr Noor Ali Shah, Chairman District Council, Khalid Siraj Soomro, Chairman Municipal Committee Nadeem-ul Rehman, Deputy Commissioner and SSP Umerkot also participated.
