KARACHI: Police on Tuesday claimed to have apprehended 18 alleged criminals, including a Lyari gang war member, from different areas of the metropolis. A police team conducted a targeted raid in Lyari’s Baghdadi and detained a gang war’s Baba Ladla group member, Abdul Salam, and recovered weapons and drugs from him. A Hydari police party carried out a targeted raid in a hideout of the gamblers in Kausar Niazi Colony and detained 14 gamblers. Cash and cell phones were also recovered from their possession, the police said. During search operation in New Karachi, Sector 5G, a police team nabbed two drug peddlers, Ali Hasan, and Hussan Babar.
