LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Senator Sirajul Haq on Wednesday said that abolishment of articles 62 and 63 of the constitution would allow cheaters, plunderers and criminals to enter parliament.
Talking to the visiting delegations at party’s headquarters in Mansoora, Lahore, Siraj said that any attempt to tamper with the constitution would undermine national unity and make it difficult to keep the provinces in the federation.
According to details, the JI chief said that Nawaz Sharif had become more arrogant after disqualification.
The JI chief said that Nawaz Sharif was give ample time by the court to prove his innocence but he failed.
Commenting on geopolitics, the JI chief congratulated Muslim Brotherhood for its grand victory in the Jordanian local body elections. He expressed the hope that the Muslim Brotherhood would emerge as a substantial force in the upcoming general elections of Jordan.
