The U.S. Junior Amateur at Oakland Hills Country Club in Michigan won’t be lacking for name recognition, as a Woods has qualified to play there next month.

The Woods in question is Charlie, Tiger’s son. The 15-year-old Woods earned his spot with a 1-under 71 he shot Wednesday at Eagle Trace Golf Club in Coral Springs, Florida. He earned one of the four qualifying spots and was the only player to finish under par.

This will be Woods’ first USGA championship competition.

The younger Woods has won multiple tournaments along the junior circuit, some of them with his father caddying for him. Tiger Woods was 14 when he qualified for his first U.S. Junior Amateur. The U.S. Junior Amateur will take place July 22-27 in a suburb of Detroit.
