Teachers Front panel wins majority of seats in PU Academic Council polls

LAHORE: The Teachers Front panel, led by Dr Mansoor Sarwar, has won majority of seats in the Punjab University Academic Council elections for the university’s Finance and Planning Committee (FPC) and Advanced Studies and Research Board (ASRB). Faculty of Science Dean Professor Dr Shahid Kamal and Faculty of Commerce Dean Professor Dr Hassan Mobeen Alam have been elected to the FPC, while Zoology Department Head Professor Dr Javed Iqbal, Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology Director Professor Dr Amir Ijaz and College of Oriental Learning Principal Professor Dr Fakharul Haq Noori have been elected to the ASRB. The elected teachers have committed to working with the administration for the academic and fiscal uplift of the university. The Teachers Front leadership has thanked the PU teaching community for their continued trust and support. The panel had already won the Academic Staff Association elections held earlier this year.
