Gujranwala board announces IX grade result

GUJRANWALA: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education announced the result of 9th class on Saturday. According to details total 245277 candidates appeared in the examination from which 129614 declared successful with 52.84 pass percentage. In science group total 156430 appeared and only 88435 got passing marks while in general group 88847 appeared in examination out of which 41179 declared successful. In science boys group 84048 appeared from which 36208 got passing marks, in science girls group total 72382 candidates participate while 46227 declared successful, in general group boys total 31929 appeared from which 10022 secured passing marks while in girls general group 31157 declared successful from 56918 total candidates. Board administration has mailed the result cards of private candidates to their addresses while students of registered educational institution could got their result cards from the institutions. Separately, Assistant Commissioner Rana Jamil paid surprise visits to various ceramics factories and LPG refilling shops. During the inspection he sealed Amin Ceramics for dengue larvae while FIR also got registered against the owner of the factory. Meanwhile, he also sealed an illegal LPG refilling shop at Qilla Chand and FIR against shopkeeper registered in the concerned police station. Meanwhile, speech of Nawaz Sharif in Wazirabad has been postponed due to security reasons. Local administration and PML-N workers completed their arrangements for the address when they received the information about the postponed of the event.
