NED organises friendly cricket match

KARACHI: The NED University of Engineering and Technology has organized a friendly cricket match on Sunday to mark the 70th Independence Day of Pakistan.

The match will start at 3 PM at the varsity cricket ground and will be played between NED Alumnae Eleven and NED Eleven. Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah will be the captain of NED Alumnae Eleven while Vice Chancellor of NED Professor Dr Sarosh Hashmat Lodhi will captain the NED Eleven.

CM will be also the chief guest at the event of varsity as he is a graduate from the institution and classmate of the NED’s VC, Dr Lodhi. Some prominent and legendary cricketers including Waseem Akram, Moin Khan, Asad Shafiq, Saleem Jafar, Tanveer Ahmad, Ghulam Ali Mahmood Hamid, Harris Khan, Shaukat Mirza, Zahid Ahmed, Massoud Anwar, are expected to be present on the occasion.
