BUREWALA: In what seems to be a controversial decision, the authorities concerned have suspended Government Girls Higher Secondary School 98 EB Sheikh Fazal, Gaggoo, Burewala, Principal Tabassum Parveen “without holding an impartial hearing”. Attiqa Fatima, a junior teacher (SST), has been appointed the principal of the school, creating a feeling of deprivation among other faculty members. Moreover, a servant among three others, who had surrendered their jobs, was reappointed to the said school in contravention of a policy, which states that those who surrender their jobs cannot be reappointed to the same school. The suspended principal has urged the high-ups in the education sector to look into the matter as only five months have been left in her retirement. She said that she was being politically victimised, as some influential people wanted to transfer her to another school that was why she was suspended “unheard”.
