LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Lahore has once again summoned ousted PM Nawaz Sharif, sons Hussain and Hussain, daughter Maryam Safdar, and her husband Capt (r) Safdar at its office for today (Wednesday).

NAB has also summoned Finance Minister Ishaq Dar as well. This the third notice sent to the Sharif family.

The bureau had also issued notices to Nawaz Sharif and his two sons earlier in the week. However, none of them appeared before it.

Nawaz had filed a review application in the Supreme Court of Pakistan against the verdict disqualifying him.

NAB officials said that if the members of Sharif family did not appear on Wednesday (today), a report would be submitted to the SC, which could issue arrest warrants for Nawaz and his family members.

National Bank of Pakistan President Saeed Ahmad and Sugar Mills Association chairman Javed Kayani had appeared before NAB Lahore after being summoned.

Earlier on Tuesday, Nawaz Sharif, his family members and Dar had submitted a statement to the bureau, saying they would not appear before investigators till review petitions filed in the SC were decided.

The finance minister was separately summoned on a second notice for an inquiry into his assets and incomes.
