Ghotki District Council chairman presents budget 2017-18

KHAIRPUR: Chairman District Council Khairpur, Sardar Haji Khan Mahar presented an annual budget of Rs 940.46 million for the financial year 2017-2018.

He said the salary of every member has been increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000 and Rs two million would be given to every member for development works.

He said Rs 526.2 million has been allocated for development while Rs 48 million has been allocated for non salaries payments. Mahar announced that he would not receive a salary and the amount would be spent on development work.

District Council would try to get more funds from Sindh government for development of district. Saeed Akber Mahar, councilors and others attended the budget session.
