DADU: On directive of the Chief Election Commission of Pakistan Dadu District Election Commission officials have formed ‘District Voter Education Committee’.
Talking to journalists at Press Club Dadu, District Election Commissioner Abdul Qadir Rajput said that aim forming awareness committee was to provide awareness to far-flung area women voters and public how they could use their right of vote and they should get their NIC.
Rajput informed in Dadu district total number of voters stands 667,262 out of which 364,795 are male voter with having 1,061 constituencies.
He said ECP has resumed service for voters’ registration and now people could send text message on 8300 free of cost for vote registration.
District Election Officer Amir Hussain said that committee comprised members of revenue department, education, health, social welfare, and information department, NGOs, disabled, minority and civil society representatives.
He said awareness drive team would reach women in district and ask those has not made NIC card without
any fee.
