Govt employees to be paid before Eidul Azha

LAHORE: Following the announcement of the beginning of the Islamic month of Zilhajj by Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced on Thursday that government employees would be given their salaries for the month of August before the festival of Eidul Azha.

Earlier the Interior Ministry had announced 4 days of Eidul Azha holidays from September 1st to 4th, during which all offices will remain closed with Eidul Azha falling on September 2nd.

The Finance Ministry has instructed that the salaries of government employees be given to them by August 28th to better faciliate them before Eid.
