SALU distributes scholarship cheques

KHAIRPUR: Prof Dr Parveen Shah, Vice Chancellor Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) Khairpur gave away cheques of Indus Scholarship donated by Shafqat Memon of Abdul Fatah Memorial Trust to 13 male-female students of Department of Business Administration, each getting Rs 6,500. Dr Parveen appreciating efforts of Abdul Fatah Memorial Trust promotion of education advised cheque recipients to engage themselves for pursuit of higher education as they are future of nation. Prof Dr Iram Rani, Chairperson Department of Business Administration told that we have adopted transparent mechanism during course of scrutinising cases and students were selected on merit. Dr Iram Shaikh said students awarded scholarship were of privileged class and were considered for scholarship by award committee without any bias or prejudices. Prof Dr Noor Ahmed Shaikh, Pro-Vice Chancellor, main campus, registrar, Prof Dr Taj Muhammad Lashari, media coordinator and others were present on the occasion.
