SHIKARPUR: District Voter Education Committee Shikarpur urged people and especially women voters of Shikarpur to register their votes at Election Commission of Shikarpur. Election Commission of Pakistan has initiated an awareness campaign across Pakistan and has made district level committees to spread awareness about registering votes. District Election Officer Shikarpur, Agha Tofique Ahmed during a press conference at Shikarpur Press Club said those attaining age to vote should register them at ECP office Shikarpur. He informed that there were five union councils including Jahan Waah, Sher Kot, Thairo, Machi and Ghahino Waah having 40 percent registered votes of women of Shikarpur district. There were total 489,018 registered voters including 257,324 male and 231,694 female in Shikarpur district in 2013, but in current time there are 543,463 registered voters from them 290,754 are male and 252,709 are female on July 2017, Agha informed.
