HUM TV’s famous drama ‘Ishq Murshid’, that won the approval of not only the local but also cross border audience, presented its last episode in for simultaneous screening in cinemas throughout Pakistan.
In this special occasion, a special screening was organised at Universal Cinema, Lahore, in which a large number of leading actors of the play, renowned faces of showbiz, bloggers, reports and fans participated.
The red carpet event for the premiere of the drama was adorned with a dazzling array of stars, including hosts Hamza Majeed, and lead actors Bilal Abbas Khan and Durefishan Saleem. The couple, dressed in white, were surrounded by fans and answered questions from journalists and bloggers. The main attraction of the ceremony was the prominent cast of the play including Ali Gul Mallah, Farhan Saleem, Shajiya Niazi, Momin Saqib, Momal Sheedi and the team of Momal Productions. Duraid Qureshi, CEO, HUM Network Limited (HNL) also participated in the event.
Following the red carpet, a screening of the drama took place in the cinema, where the captivating romance, emotions, and heartfelt scenes evoked tears, laughter, and applause from the audience. Duraid Qureshi, CEO, HNL, expressed his gratitude for the love and support the network received for the drama and said the network is continuously striving to present quality dramas to the public.
Fans of ‘Ishq Murshid’ gathered to express their appreciation for the show, which was directed by Farooq Rand and written by Abdul Khaliq Khan under the banner of Momal Entertainment and MD Productions. The drama garnered immense popularity, both nationally and internationally, and topped the ratings charts since its first episode. The last episode of the drama was screened in theatres due to its global appeal, following the precedent set by previous popular HUM TV dramas like ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’ ‘Humsafar’ and ‘Parizaad’. The screening of ‘Ishq Murshid’ received widespread admiration from people across the country.
