LAHORE: As part of the election campaign in NA-120, the Pakistan People’s Party Tuesday announced to hold a big rally in Krishan Nagar tomorrow (Thursday).

Former premier Yousaf Raza Gillani, former federal minister Samina Khalid Ghurki, PPP Lahore chapter president Azizur Rehman Chann, Chaudhry Aslam Gill and party’s candidate for NA-120 by-poll Faisal Mir would address the gathering. According to the party sources, the public meeting was announced after the approval of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari but it was not clear whether he would participate or not. He, however, had arrived in Lahore to monitor the party’s election campaign from Bilawal House.

Meanwhile, the PPP candidate for NA-120, Faisal Mir, had also started door-to-door campaign to woo voters. Faisal Mir is holding two corner meeting on a daily basis in the constituency, besides addressing public rallies.

On Tuesday, he led two different rallies and corner meetings in Amin Park and Krishan Nagar areas.

Addressing the gathering, he said that usage of Chief Minister’s House in Model Town for election campaign was in violation of poll code conduct.

Fasial Mir also lamented over alleged ignorance of the constituency by the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). He urged the PML-N to apologies to people for “ignoring” the constituency.

During his campaign, most of the participants showed their dissatisfaction with the development activities in the constituency.
