PPP protests against load shedding in Mirpur Khas

MIRPUR KHAS: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior lawmaker Nisar Ahmed Khuhro who is the party’s Sindh president and minister for food, while addressing the attendees of the party’s protest against electricity load shedding outside the Mirpur Khas Press Club said that the government must be answerable for HESCO’s operations.

“We have taken to streets to convey unity with our people who are suffering important issues of water shortages and prolonged electricity blackouts and gas outages,” HE SAID. According to details Sindh’s ruling party carried out protest against the load shedding of electricity and scarcity of water. In Mirpur Khas, PPP supporters protested at the Press Club Mirpur khas. A Large number of women and men took part in the sit-in and chanted slogans against the federal government. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro sternly castigated Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and advised ‘we will not only stage sit-ins in front Press Clubs but also come on the streets of Sindh and Punjab and force the prime minister to leave office. He said that sit-in will be staged on 16th May in Nawab Shah and 21st May on Sukkur, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro bewailed that the federal government is carrying out to 16 to 20 hours of load shedding in parts of Sindh, describing it as awfulness Khairunnisa Mughal Member Provisional Assembly Said that the reason of disruption of water supplies in interior of Sindh was 16 to 20 hours of load-shedding by the Water and Power Development Authority. It looked that the federal government was punishing the Sindh people for not voting for the PML-N.

She demanded immediate measures by the ministry through WAPDA to bring an end to the crises.

Juniad Buland Senior member of PPP Mirpur Khas said this load shedding is badly affecting both domestic and industrial activities and people see no difference between day and night as darkness falls all the time and no work activity takes place. People are pushed to live without gas, petrol and electricity, The present government has so far failed to live up to the expectance of people and unable to redeem especially when it comes to provision of basic needs to general public. Government’s ill-construct policies and actions have moved the country into a vortex of crisis, he added.
