SUKKUR: On the directives of Deputy Inspector General NH&MP N-5 South region Nasir Mehmood Satti, & SP Ghulam Sarwar Bhayo, Motorway Police, Kandiaro 29 beat has compelled transport owner to pay back more than Rs 97,000 overcharged amount to passengers during the Eid days.
The officials of 29 Motor way and highway police Beat Kandiaro including of DSP Asadullah Abro, Admin officer Abdul Rasheed Sehto along with Secretary RTA Syed Sajjad Shah have initiated stern action on the complaints of overcharging and has taken all possible steps to reimburse extra fare to the passengers. Motor way police also charged fine to the drivers of Buses and coaches for overcharging as well other legal action. The commuters cherished and prayed the NH&MP s initiative and stern action against overcharging.
NH&MP officers who had started checking the PSVs vehicles at various points of National Highway to control the menace of overcharging and took strict action by imposing fine and issued penalty tickets who were found involved in over charging.
