SHIKARPUR: A day before Eidul Azha, a majority of main roads in Shikarpur submerged in drainage water due to choked lines following ongoing development works in the areas. According to reports, roads including Station Road, Hazari Gate, Lakhi Gate, Clock Tower, Hathi Gate and mohallas’ including Pir Wasal Shah, Haji Latif Shah and others remained under sewage water due to dug up roads for construction and other civil works. Resultantly, Shikarpur people have been facing difficulties. Sunni Sanjrani, Chairman Municipal Committee Shikarpur told that such situation has arisen on ongoing development schemes of Public Health Department. This issue would be resolved in due course of time as public health department has sped up its development schemes in the city. Sanjrani said that he himself has been supervising work and also made a special plan for Eid to monitor cleanliness drive in the city.
