KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has pledged that his party will free the people of Balochistan from the clutches of “cruel” Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

He said this while interviewing potential office-bearers of the PPP in eight districts of Balochistan at the Bilawal House on Thursday.

Interviews for District PPP Organisations for Moosa Khel, Naseerabad, Khuzdar, Ziarat, Pishin, Loralai, Sibi and Lasbella were conducted.

“The Balochistan government, instead of being answerable to the people of the province, has bowed down before Takht-e-Raiwind,” the PPP leader said.

Bilawal said that the PPP was the only national party that the people of Balochistan could believe in, and could ensure provision of their rights. He hoped that the PPP would win the general election in 2018 in Balochistan to form government in the province. The PPP Balochistan Coordination Committee had sent recommendations following holding district-level workers meetings. The PPP office-bearers for districts would be approved by the chairman after interviews and consultations with the party leadership. PPP Balochistan President Ali Madad Jattak, General Secretary Iqbal Shah, Information Secretary Sarbulund Khan Jogezai, former Senate deputy chairman Sabir Baloch and others were also present on the occasion.
