LAHORE: Faisal Mir, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate for by-election in NA-120, Tuesday distributed roses among voters during a door-to-door campaign along with other party leaders in the constituency.
The idea to distribute flower among voters was floated at a meeting of party’s women wing at an election office in Krishan Nagar on Tuesday. PPP Punjab Women Wing President Samina Ghurki participated in the meeting, while Faisal Mir also joined them.
In the meeting, some other prominent female leaders of the party, including Bushra Malik, Fizza Malik, and Shahana Azhar presented a comprehensive plan to hold a door-to-door campaign to woo female voters.
Subsequently, several groups of party’s workers approached voters in the constituency by holding roses in their hands and distributed them among voters.
Besides, pamphlets bearing agenda of the party were also distributed.
Later, talking to the media, Faisal Mir expressed hope that the party would clinch victory in the upcoming by-election, scheduled to be held on September 17.
Samina Ghurki was also hopeful of getting big support from female voters in the by-poll.
