PU announces BA/BSc results

LAHORE: The Punjab University has declared the results of BA/BSc Annual Examination 2017.

According to the results, BSc student Sadaf Zahid (roll number 12476) got overall first position by obtaining 681 marks, while two BSc students Anilah Yasmeen (roll number 19413) and Maleeha Anwar (roll number 17995) shared the second position by securing 673 marks. BSc student Asma Latif (roll number 6505) stood third by securing 668 marks.

In BA, Nagheen Fatima (roll number 22738) stood first by securing 681 marks. Asma Afzal (roll number 16004) stood second by securing 657 marks, while Muqaddas Ijaz (roll number 35247) stood third by obtaining 651 marks. The total candidates appeared in BA/BSc Annual Examination 2017 were 229,401 out of which 87,926 candidates passed the exams. The overall passing percentage was 38.32. The total number of candidates who appeared in BA/BSc Annual Examination Part-I 2017 was 133,892, of which 48,633 candidates passed the exams with the passing percentage of 36.32.

The total candidates who appeared in BA/BSc Annual Examination Part-II 2017 were 75,376, of which 33,154 candidates passed the exams with the passing percentage of 43.98. The total number of candidates who appeared in BA/BSc Annual Examination 2017 (Composite) was 20,133, of which 6139 passed.

The Punjab University also organised a ceremony to honour position holders at Al-Razi Hall, where Punjab University Vice Chancellor Dr Zafar Moeen Nasir, faculty members and parents of position holders were present.
