Census and population of Pakistan

Sir: The recent report of the Council Common Interest on Friday declared a high rise in the population as it reached to 207.77 million of the increment of 57percent since the last census in 1998. The sixth census of population carried out by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics show a great growth rate of population in KP, Baluchistan, Fata, as compared to previous results.

As the provisional reports are concerned Pakistan have 106.45m males, 101.31m females, and 10.418 transgender. Results show that 30.5m people in KPK, 5m in Fata, 47.9m in Sindh, 12.3m in Baluchistan, 2m in Islamabad and Punjab the largest province have 110 million people. 36.4pc of Pakistanis reside in Urban areas as per the reports are concerned. And too soon the data’s of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu get included with clear clarifications.
