Lahore: Pakistan Business Forum (PBF) expressed sincerest wishes for the challenging role she had embarked upon for the well-being of the people and business community of the province. In a media statement, PBF President Khawaja Mahboob ur Rehman, Chief Organiser Chaudhry Ahmad Jawad, Vice President Jahan Ara Wattoo, Punjab Chairman Muhammad Naseer Malik and Chairman South Punjab Malik Suhail Talat welcomed the vision of the new Chief Minister laid out in her first address before the Punjab Assembly in which she had announced to make Punjab an economic hub.
Welcoming initiatives like formulation of policies to ease doing business for investors and activation of price control committees, PBF office-bearers believed that CM Nawaz’s mission carried all the hallmarks of a solid, revolutionizing roadmap to revive industries and agriculture give a boost to economic activities. However, PBF believed that no viable business could continue unless the government introduced measures to strengthen the rupee in the currency market which is the utmost requirement of the business community.
