Man run over by train

SHIKARPUR: A man identified as Hazar Khan, 45, a resident of Sanjrani Mohalla, was killed after being hit by a Quetta-bound train. Witnesses stated that Hazar Khan was killed while trying to save students who were trying to cross the railway track. Later, the police shifted his body to Shikarpur Civil Hospital for legal formalities after which the body was handed over to Hazar Khan’s family.

Meanwhile, a motorcyclist identified as Awais Ahmad, son of Hajan Memon, lost his life in a hit and run incident on Sukkur-Larkana-Madeji bypass which comes under the jurisdiction of Madeji police station.

Police said that the car driver managed to escape from the scene. The victim expired at Chandka Medical College Hospital.
