Rangers arrest six suspects in raids and operations

KARACHI: Rangers on Tuesday claimed to have apprehended at least six suspects during ongoing targeted raids and operations in parts of the metropolis.

According to Rangers spokesperson, two suspects, namely Ali alias Asif of Baba Ladla group of Lyari gang war and Nadeem alias Saleem of Uzair Baloch group of gangsters were arrested during a raid conducted in Lyari area. They were wanted by police in various cases of crime including drug peddling.

A suspected robber, identified as Umair, was arrested during a raid in Saudabad area. The spokesperson said that the accused was wanted in various cases of target killings and crimes.

In another raid also conducted in Saudabad area, the Rangers arrested an illegal immigrant, namely Muhammad alias Bablu. Rangers spokesperson said that the accused, Bangladeshi national, was living in the country illegally.

Meanwhile, another suspect, identified as Dhani Buksh was arrested during a raid in Manghopir area.

The spokesperson also claims to have recovered arms, ammunitions and narcotics from the possession of arrested suspects who were later handed over to the police.
