KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers arrested on Friday most wanted terrorist of outlawed Lashkar-e-Balochistan (LeB) involved in almost ten bomb blasts in the several areas of Sindh and Baluchistan during an Intelligence Based Operation (IoB).
The LeB carried out most recent attacks in the months of May and June which were planed in Karachi in which its activists had blow-up installments of gas supply company and the supplies of electricity with Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
The arrested suspect was said to be an experts of making bombs and other explosive devices who targeted van of university students, and is involved in attacks on law enforcement agencies and sensitive installations.
According to the details a team of Sindh Rangers raided an area of Karachi upon intelligence information and arrested a top suspect of Lashkar-e-Balochistan who was identified as Muhim Khan.
The said accused was involved in various incident of terrorism across the country including an attack on the vehicle of irrigation department in June 2014 near Hub City of Baluchistan province. In another three incidents of terrorism the suspect Muhim Khan along with his companions hurled hand grenades at electricity transmission lines in September 2014, 2015 and January 2016. In January 2015, the suspect with his group attacked an under construction governments building near Bawani Road in Hub City. In April 2015, suspect blew up van carrying Hamdard University Karachi students.
They again, launched an attack on government’s installments near Sakran high school of Baluchistan in July 2016.
In August 2016, the group targeted a police mobile near Galaxy Town in Hub city.
The banned LeB became publicly known in 2012 after it claimed responsibility for several bombings in Lahore, Karachi and Quetta, in which many people were killed and injured. The organizations is an offshoot of Baloch Liberation Army and operates from remote areas of Balochistan.
The terror organization is believed to have several camps in Balochistan as well as in Afghanistan.
