LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that completion of projects under the CPEC will lead to change the destiny of the region in real sense.

“With the materialisation of projects under the CPEC, the destiny of the region will undergo a real change. Sino-Pak friendship has transformed into vibrant economic ties and this friendship is gaining strength with the passage of every moment,” he said while talking to the media on Friday before leaving for China.

He held that $55 billion investment made by China in Pakistan was a matchless example of selfless friendship existing between the two countries.

“The bilateral economic ties between Pakistan and China are touching new highs under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.” He said that his recent visit to China would bolster economic cooperation in various fields between Punjab and China.

The CPEC had opened doors to foreign investment in Pakistan, and the projects being set up under the CPEC would usher the country into the era of prosperity and development, he underlined.
