SUKKUR: Acting under the National Action Plan (NAP) the Ghotki police has initiated an operation against proclaimed offenders through combing operations against known criminals residing near Imambargahs and mosques as well as other criminal enterprises like drug, liquor and gambling dens. Ghotki Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Masood Ahmed Bangash presided over a meeting of the district’s police officials and instructed them to treat citizens with respect and make solving their problems a priority. The SSP maintained that a strategy had been made against corruption in the police department. He directed Station House Officers (SHO) to enhance vigilance over criminal activities and increase checking at all entry and exit points of the district.
