SIBI: Two men suspected of involvement in multiple crimes were killed in an operation by security forces here on Sunday.
The operation was launched in the Kat Mazai area. The suspects put up resistance during the operation and two men who were also wanted for other crimes were shot dead, said a statement by security forces. Arms were recovered from the deceased criminals and their bodies were shifted to hospital for autopsy.
In Quetta, the Balochistan government’s home department has banned pillion riding and displaying weapons in Quetta under Section 144 during the first ten days of Muharram.
The decision was taken to provide security to Muharram majalis and Taazia processions. The city has seen several incidents of sectarian killings in the past and the action is aimed at ensuring a peaceful Muharram.
